Vera Luckham was my father's cousin, Vera's father-in-law being the twin brother to my grandfather, who migrated to Australia in the early 1900's. My husband and I visited Vera 3 times from Australia, in 2000, 2001 and 2003, and always found her to be very pleasant and active, quite an inspiration. Her involvement with the Sportman's Arms was a significant feature of her life and she and my husband enjoyed a lunch there in 2003. CAROL LUCKHAM
